This makes me want to drive 10 minutes to Belgium...

Hunt down the t.v host and give him a hug.

Maastricht

:: It was good to see a side of Holland that didn't involve getting blotto and bouncing around cafe's, night clubs and adult shows. Maastricht is a trendy little shopping town that seemed to have more shoe shops than bicycles. known as a centre of history, tradition and culture it was full of winding narrow roads, museums, art galleries and tourists. I hanker places like this! I'll definitely be coming back here. At least to buy some new shoes.

Aachen; The Base

So close to the border of Holland it reeks of all things green and gold, Aachen is situated in the NW of Deutschland. It's a small city littered with students who all attend what is seemingly the breeding ground of mechanical engineers, RWTH University. I swear, the last 15 people i have talked to are studying engineering of some sort. Aachen will be my base for this little EU adventure, it's the home of Mandy, and it's super central.

:: Just when i was going to cut a little video, or at least publish a few photos of Aachen, i came across this. "Aachen; it's the place of death"? I promise you: There is nothing scary about this town!

So i conquered the Lindt factory, the tapas bars, the pizzerias, the local brew's and got kicked out of the school whilst voting in the local council elections. Time to move on.

I ain't no Sheikh

I will be coming back to Abu Dhabi, it's slick; Mazzeratis perched high in departure lounges, Shiny new buildings and gold tainted sculptures littering the airport. I'll be stopping here on the way home and I guess I'll way it up then.. spend my life savings on a couple of nights in the United Arab Emirates or be a peasant and spend a few more sweaty hours in the departure lounge?

::The police in Abu Dhabi pull you up, then ask for a drag!

30 hrs, 30 Gin & Tonics.

Well maybe not 30; Being a new born fan of this drink, as is the rest of the my Suffolk house hold, we often discuss the myth of Gin being some sort of depressant. Accordingly it can trigger the tear ducts to weep, therefore psychologically teasing the mind into depressive thoughts "who am i?", "do I drink to much?, "Am i to fat?". Pondering whether to make the switch to pineapple juice and Vodka (a definite stimulate?) i peep out the Jets window at the ever lasting lights of Singapore City from 3000ft up and realise there's no chance of negative thought striking my tipsy little mind.

It's definitely exciting.. traveling! You get the felling that not much matters, except for yourself, your luggage and the whereabouts of your passport. As Cliche as it sounds, I believe there's plenty worth sharing about traveling. In my case, probably a heap of photos, a few short films and a heap of B grade blog entries. Raise your stiff tear jerking G&T to that!! Cheers.
